Helen M. Marshall School started as P.S. 330. Our learning community was founded in 2010 to serve families in Corona, New York. From July 2010-August 2013 we were located in Elmhurst, New York. Our families advocated for a permanent building and we moved to our current home in 2013. We opened with 220 Kindergarten students and currently have over 600 students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 5.
In 2017 we were granted the opportunity to rename our school after Helen M. Marshall--the first African American Borough president of Queens.
We have 4 community values that guide the work and learning we do. These values were designed in the spirit of Helen M. Marshall and with input from students, staff and families.
Our Community Values are:
-
Collaboration
-
Compassion
-
Respect
-
Responsibility
